Train tickets
How does the ticket/QR code work?
Open station gates with the QR code. You will find the QR code in the ‘My rides’ section of the app. When checking tickets, the ticket inspector will scan your QR code. If there are no gates at the station, you do not need to do anything with the QR code. You can simply board the train.
How long is the ticket valid?
Your train ticket is valid on the day of travel and remains valid until 04.00 in the morning the following day. In other words, if you buy a ticket for a train that departs at 21.00 in the evening, you can continue to use your ticket until 04.00 the following morning.
Can I also travel on another train?
Yes. You can travel the same route on a later train operated by the same company.

Make sure you have an internet connection at that time and refresh your screen manually if you have it open. This way you can be sure your ticket is active. Before those 15 minutes, your ticket is not yet valid and you cannot use it. The ticket remains valid for 1 hour. If your trip will take more than 1 hour, there will be 2 tickets in the app.
Can I travel the same route on another service operated by the same company?
Yes, you can do this on GVB bus, tram and metro services. Your ticket becomes valid in the app 15 minutes before the tram you booked is due to depart and remains valid for 30 minutes after the tram you booked is due to arrive. So if you arrive early, you can catch an earlier tram, bus or metro. And if you just miss the one you booked or if it is cancelled, you can travel on the next one. Please note! You must complete your ride within the period of time mentioned above.

Mag ik ook met een andere lijn reizen van dezelfde vervoerder op hetzelfde traject?
Ja, als het een bus, tram of metro van GVB is dan mag dit. Je ticket wordt 15 minuten voor vertrek geldig in de app en blijft geldig tot 30 minuten na aankomst van de geboekte bus, tram of metro. Je mag dus een bus, tram of metro eerder nemen mocht je wat te vroeg zijn. En ben je net te laat of is de geplande rit uitgevallen, mag je dus een rit later nemen. Let op, je rit moet wel binnen de eerder genoemde tijdslimiet blijven.
